Professor Jens ScherpeThe Faculty now has a Director of International Strategy and Partnerships, with Professor Jens Scherpe taking up this important new role.

Professor Scherpe, who has just been elected to the Council of the European Law Institute, is a highly distinguished comparative lawyer and family lawyer with extensive international links. The new role of Director of International Strategy and Partnerships, established following on from an in depth review by the Faculty of its approach to international strategy, combines various previously existing Faculty roles that had a cross-border dimension. This reorganization provides the Faculty with an exciting opportunity to think proactively about engaging with peer institutions around the world.

Professor Scherpe says of his new role: "In the current global environment, maintaining and expanding the Faculty’s international links must be one of the key priorities of our internationally oriented law school. I am delighted to take on this important role and look forward to fostering Cambridge’s existing international links and building new ones."
