The Centre for European Legal Studies (CELS) is delighted to announce that Centre Director Professor Catherine Barnard has been elected as the JC Smith Fellow for 2019-2020 by the University of Nottingham.
The JC Smith Fellowship recognises and celebrates the contribution of distinguished scholars from around the world and this is an extremely impressive and richly deserved achievement.
The University is organising a workshop in honour of Catherine which will take place on Friday 27 March 2020 and whose theme will be 'Brexit: past, present and future'.
Responding to the announcement, Professor Barnard said "I feel honoured at the appointment. Nottingham university has a long tradition of excellent teaching and research into EU law and employment law and I look forward to getting to know the staff and students".
