The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce the new undergraduate student exchange partnership with the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore ("NUS Law").
Starting from the next academic year, we expect to be able to offer up to three places in this exchange programme. Participating Cambridge law students will spend their third year at NUS Law before returning to complete their final year at Cambridge. The Faculty is delighted that our students will have the opportunity to be part of one of Asia’s leading law schools and experiencing Singapore’s vibrant multicultural heritage.
Equally, the Faculty looks forward to welcoming students from NUS LAW to the collegiate community at Cambridge.
Professor Mark Elliott, Chair of the Cambridge Law Faculty, said, "I am delighted that it has been possible to establish this new student exchange scheme, which builds on existing relationships between our two law schools. We greatly look forward to working with NUS on this new project, to welcoming NUS students to Cambridge and to affording our own students an invaluable opportunity to spend a year immersing themselves in another legal culture."
Professor Simon Chesterman, Dean of NUS Law, said, "NUS Law has a long tradition of collaboration with Cambridge in research and education. This new agreement strengthens and deepens those ties, facilitating the movement of students between our two law schools. I know our students will benefit from a year in Cambridge to see the law through new eyes, just as we look forward to welcoming Cambridge’s students into our own classrooms."
