Catherine Barnard gives evidence before Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee

Professor Catherine Barnard (Trinity College) gave evidence this morning to the Parliamentary Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee.

The Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee was appointed to consider matters related to the implementation of the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland and the Windsor Framework.

Professor Barnard was joined as a witness by Dr Richard Corbett CBE (Former MEP) and Professor John Erik Fossum (ARENA Centre for European Studies, University of Oslo).

Catherine is Professor of European Law at the Faculty, and senior tutor and fellow of Trinity College. She is the author of EU Employment Law, The Substantive Law of the EU: The Four Freedoms, European Union Law and Low-Paid EU Migrant Workers: The House, The Street, The Town. She is also a Senior Fellow in the UK in a Changing Europe.

In the wake of the announcement of the agreement with the EU this week, Catherine has made a number of appearances on television and radio, and also featured in the UK in a Changing Europe 'Unpacking the UK-EU Summit' webinar.
