University of Cambridge Faculty of LawThe University of Cambridge Faculty of Law has secured top ranking in the Guardian University Guide 2015 league table for Law.  This award joins the Faculty's top rankings in the Complete University Guide and the Times University Guide.

The University of Cambridge was also ranked no. 1 in the general Universities League Table, underlining its dominance by coming top of the table for the fourth year in a row and increasing the gap between itself and its ancient rival Oxford, which remains in second place.

The awards are compiled by independent consultancy Intelligent Metrix, and rank universities in eight quality factors which are considered important to students:

Eight statistical measures are employed to approximate a university’s performance in teaching each subject. Measures relate to both input, e.g. expenditure by the University on its students, and output, e.g. a graduate’s probability of finding a graduate-level job. The measures are knitted together to get a Guardian score, against which institutions are ranked.

The Faculty continues to make special efforts to encourage increased student engagement with the National Student Survey, with the intention of registering a sufficient level of feedback to add the student satisfaction score to the 2016 results.
