THE 2020The University of Cambridge Faculty of Law is delighted by the announcement that it has been placed second in the world for the study of Law in the prestigious Times Higher Education World Rankings for 2020.

This moves the Faculty, which has overtaken several US competitors in recent years, ahead of Yale University. It also retains its place place as the most highly ranked law school in the UK and in Europe.

The Times Higher Education ranking follows other successes earlier this year, with the Faculty having been placed top across the board in the Guardian, Times, and Complete University Guide tables.

Reflecting on the Faculty’s performance in the latest Times Higher Education rankings, Chair of the Faculty Professor Mark Elliott commented:

"We are delighted to have the continued hard work of our Faculty members reflected in these ranking positions. Competing in a global environment requires the very highest levels of effort and application. Our consistently outstanding performance in ranking tables is a real tribute to the quality of our staff and students and reflects our continued commitment to excellence in both research and teaching."
